Architecture of integrated information systems (short: ARIS) makes sure that an operational information system is able to work properly. The concept is build on a pattern, that seperates it in different layers. All of the layers are following a description and each element of the layer is specified again with a determined method. Like this business processes should be represented and optimized.
To ensure that optimization is possible the affected process is specified on each layer of the concept. This will say it includes every step from the initial question to the point of technical implementation.
