Autonomous Driving describes the state of vehicles driving without any human steering mechanism. This term is often used in connection with the automotive sector, where they fokus the completely independent and autonomous driving car. In this case all the functions that are needed to use the car in a safe an duly way are assumed by computer- and assistance systems.
In connection with the term of autonomous driving you often hear also „Connected Driving or Networked Driving“. With Connected Driving you can increase safety standards of autonomous driving cars.
On the other hand you can also use „autonomous driving“ by talking about unmanned transport systems that work and interact completely self-employed.
