Bug Bounty is a program to find bugs in a software. It is provided for example by companies or other advocay groups with the objective to motivate externals to find defects in their (software) programs. Motivation of these externals is based on either financial or also material incentives. By outpointing the errors to the consigning company the externals can help the company to remove these errors and like this improving the programs.

Why this is interesting for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO)?
Cyber security is one of the most important topics for IT responsibles. Despite the fact that the Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is not responsible for this, he should be involved by the Chief Information Officer (CIO) into these topics.
