Clean Code describes source codes but also documents, rules, concepts and procedures that can be understood easiliy. An adventage of clean codes is that they show a high stability and clean codes can also be maintained economically. Because of that there are shorter development times regarding extended features and there is less time needed to solve existing problems. Especially caused by the connection between maintenance and lifetime of the software, clean codes show an increasing importance regarding software technology.

Why this is interesting for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO)?
Many topics of software development used to be purely technical. In the context of digitization, concepts and methods are now arriving in business. In the meantime, these have become the drivers of the business.
