The General Data Protection Regulation (short: GDPR) is a legal basis for data protection. It was uniformly initiated by the European Union (EU). It is intended to provide a uniform legal framework for all EU members. All content providers offering their services in the EU must implement the DSGVO.

Why this is interesting for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO)?
Regulations in the digital age should be ideally automized. In order to achive this, regulation uses technology. Therefore regulation + technology becomes RegTech. So RegTech can improve the life of a Chief Digital Officer (CDO) very much.
