IT Infrastructure Library (short: ITIL) is a collection of different processes, functions and roles with regard to the IT infrastructure and IT services of a company, which have already been standardized and tested in the company and are therefore repeatedly applied. The goal of the IT Infrastructure Library is the security of IT, since this collection enables efficient and quality assurance work in the IT area.
