Networked Driving describes the communication between either vehicles among each other or the communication between vehicles and the infrastructure. Exchanged information mostly refers to news like scenes of accidents, the weather, construction sites or the traffic situation. Normally all the transmitted information is recorded by sensors around the vehicle. Data is first captured, then processed and after that communicated via appropriate interfaces. Like this there is given more information about all road users that are located on the roads at the concerning time. All this information can be used by the cars and because of that the security level can be raised for all of the people and vehicles on the streets including also pedestrians and cyclists for example. By combining autonomous driving with networked driving there can also be improved the traffic flow and the emission volume.
