The Silicon Valley (aka “The Valley”, short: SV) is a part of the Bay Area. It is the birthplace of the digital revolution. The term silicon is used due to the fast that the base of most computer chips is silicon. The term valley is self explaining as the Silicon Valley is located in a valley.

The area is especially famous for it’s digital mindset. Some call it the Silicon Valley Mindset.
