5G
Name of a wireless standard. A wireless standard is a category relating to mobile communication technology. There are several categories, which can also be viewed as generations, since the technical possibilities generally always increase according to the category. The 5G standard is the successor to standards 1G, 2G, 3G and 4G. The 5G cellular standard is supposed to offer even more possibilities when compared what has been up until now the fastest LTE network (4G). For example, the 5G standard is supposed to be able to identify the requirements of the cellular network based on the location of the user. While very short and reliable response times are needed in traffic, business and production facilities need more of a network, in which a lot of people and machines can work together and communicate with each other simultaneously. 5G is sometimes referred to as the "network of the future", which is highly customizable and is supposed to be able to meet all needs. Furthermore, 5G is supposed to be able to transmit large amounts of data, and transmissions can be made in real-time. Precisely because of these possibilities, the 5G cellular standard takes on greater significance with regard to future challenges in society, as well as in the industrial sector, production, transportation and other areas.
