The Touchpoint is a marketing term. It means the contact between customer and company. During a customer journey, e.g. like shopping, it is possible that there are several Touchpoint contacts.

Example:
A customer informs itself by a website about the product and the store (Touchpoint 1). Via Facebook, the User comments are checked (Touchpoint 2). By entering the store, there is the direct customer interaction (Touchpoint 3).
