Digital Leadership describes a new management approach used in companies. The necessity for this kind of management is a result of the digitalization and its fundamental change reagrding traditional corporate structures. Especially companies that want to keep up with the times and want to act on the market agilely should make use of the digital leadership.
Digital leadership is marked by a strategic orientation but does also include the integration of digital changes in the company, using digital tools and devices.
In most times the CDO or the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) is responsible for the company‘s Digital Leadership.

Why this is interesting for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO)?
The Digital Mindset is the basis of every digitization. In principle, the rules of the game are completely different from those in the industrial world. Chief Digital Officers (CDOs) definitely need this mindset and must distribute it throughout the organization.
