Insourcing or backsourcing is the opposite to outsourcing. Previously outsourced business processes and company functions are integrated again into the company. Usually this is often based on make-or-buy decisions. Furthermore the right mix of insourcing and outsourcing is called rightsourcing. When company parts are sourced near (e.g. Eastern Europe) it is called nearshore. Further places (e.g. India) are called offshore.
