Mobile Device Management (short: MDM) refers to the management of smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices used in companies or organisations. It is a central management of the devices, which means that all devices can be controlled, secured, managed and configured via a common interface. The management of these mobile devices is always implemented using software. Mobile Device Management is intended to ensure security in the company and improve the functionality of the individual devices. Due to the numerous advantages that the use of mobile devices brings to a company and the associated frequent use of such options, Mobile Device Management also plays a central role in the company.

Why this is interesting for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO)?
Mobile is one of the pillars of the digital revolution. Many companies follow the Mobile First strategy. This means that software is created primarily for mobile devices. For this reason, this is important for a Chief Digital Officer (CDO).
