Channels
Component of the Business Model Canvas, which represents all points of contact with customers in the respective business model. Channels are therefore all communication, distribution and sales channels through which different customers can be reached. Channels can also be divided into five different channel types – sales department, Internet sales, own branch, partner branches and wholesalers. The challenge for the company in this respect is to use these five channel types in the different phases of the customer purchasing decision process in such a way that the customer experience can be optimised and sales increased. Before doing so, however, each company must answer the question of which channels are best for them, taking into account both customer prevalence and cost aspects on the part of the company.
