Digital Business Model (Value Proposition)

A business model describes how a company creates value, communicates that value and records it as revenue. Digitalization creates entirely new ways in which a company can create value that can be integrated into existing business models. Value proposition is the core of the business model, as it determines the benefits a company can offer its customers. Existing companies must therefore review their business models (in particular value proposition) and determine whether a new approach created by digitization should be used to increase the benefits for the customer.

Description:Europe’s leading manufacturer of electric commercial vehicles.
The company’s mission is to make even the smallest fleet of electric vehicles economically viable, thus achieving a balance between economy and the environment.

Beschreibung:Saloodo is a digital platform that brings together shippers (companies) and forwarders.
A shipper can use the platform to submit a request for transport and then receives an overview of all transport service providers or transport offers with corresponding information. Once the transport offer has been selected, all important data such as collection and delivery times can be viewed via the user interface. This eliminates the need for time-consuming search and comparison processes and also offers security in the handling of the processes.
Freight forwarders, on the other hand, register on the platform, enter information about the company and the transports and have the opportunity to secure loads by means of correspondingly good offers. This enables forwarders to make optimum use of their vehicles. In the fields of the corresponding user interface, the forwarding company enters the updates with the help of the information of its drivers so that the sender can call them up.

Digital Accelerators

Accelerators are institutions which support companies, e.g. through consulting, training or personnel, so that they can develop as quickly as possible. Normally these are startups that are helped by Accelerators. In this cooperation, a company already established on the market is supported, which faces new challenges or has to grow into the digital transformation.

Corporate IncubationsWith Corporate Incubations, Deutsche Post DHL Group AG has created a new business unit that combines the marketing and further development of the Streetscooter electric vehicle and e-bikes. It will also serve as a kind of incubator for mobility solutions, digital platforms and automation. In addition, Corporate Incubations will be a driving force for innovative business ventures, which will be realized either by the Group itself or with the help of external partners.
